CIO SOLUTIONS SPONSORS THE 2009 SEMANA NAUTICA SPORTS FESTIVAL IN SANTA BARBARA, CALIFORNIA
CIO Solutions, a Santa Barbara IT Company, becomes a Bronze sponsor of the Santa Barbara based summer sports festival. This year marks the 72nd year for Semana Nautica and is CIO's first year sponsoring the event.
Santa Barbara, CA, July 21st, 2009 -- CIO Solutions, the tri-county leader of IT management, consulting and phone systems, was a Bronze sponsor of the 72nd annual Summer Sports Festival hosted by Semana Nautica.
Samana Nautica is a non-profit organization that seeks to promote athletic and recreational activity in Santa Barbara. Over one million people have become participants or observers since its inception in 1933.
CIO SOlutions sponsored the 3-mile ocean swim which was held at East Beach. Former East Beach life-guard Mike Shaffer won the race with an impressive time of 59 minutes and 22 seconds. Second place went to steward Reid who will be teaming up with Shaffer for the upcoming Trans-Tahoe race. In the women's category Sarah Deyoreo, a tri-athlete from UC Irvine, won first place with a race time of 1 hour, 7 minutes and 34 seconds. Lastly, Sarah Murray, who was the youngest in the top ten, took first place in the under 17 group with 1 hour, 12 minuetes and 35 seconds.
